The book delivers on the promised premise and if you are new to the concept of oDesk it's not a bad starting point, but I didn't find it to be especially helpful. I bought this title primarily to find out more about writing applications for oDesk and the author does provide a full sample, but I can't see myself ever using that tactic. The random caps and promises to deliver specific word amounts as free extra content didn't strike me as being very professional. It's more like a pitch I'd expect to read on a mass mailing from a car dealership or something.I would have preferred to read a book on this topic written by someone who is an established full time freelancer rather than a part time hobbyist. I believe his techniques would be great for someone who is interested in earning some extra cash while the kids are napping or in between classes at college, but for someone who's interested in making a full time income, this isn't the way to establish yourself as a professional. This isn't a bad book, it's just not what I was looking for.

Basic information re how to make money with oDesk.com
This book offers really great strategies on how to get started on odesk and the author shares his own experience as a successful freelancer which will only add to your motivation level in the whole process. I even recommeded this book to a friend of mine who is keen on becoming a freelance translator and editor and was checking out odesk. There are more opportunities appearing in your mind that actually seem more than real after reading this informative, little book. I especially enjoyed the chapters on how to make your profile stand out( can be applied also outside of odesk) and how to make the clients your regular clients( again, this rule can be applied to any kind of business, both off and on-line).
